HSRA Workgroup ~ Leslie Miller, HSRA Workgroup Chair ~ Formed in 1992 to provide industry perspective to rules developed by EPD pursuant to the Hazardous Site Response Act ~

This workgroup has closely tracked and deliberated the evolution of HSRA; has provided detailed technical information and comment to EPD regarding the HSRA “lead rule”; and has co-sponsored with EPD a stakeholders-facilitated dialogue and HSRA roundtables to identify ways to make HSRA more cost effective.  Although rule and implementation changes have resulted from these ongoing deliberations, GIEC believes there is much more work that can be done, through HSRA reform, to reduce the cost of compliance.
