Georgia Industry Environmental Coalition, Inc. (GIEC) workgroups serve as the backbone of our organization, allowing us to focus on specific regulatory issues and promote environmental regulations and policies that are founded on the protection of human health, sound science, and cost/benefit principles.

What are Workgroups?

GIEC workgroups are the functional means by which our member companies focus on specific regulatory issues. Each of the four specialized workgroups is coordinated by a chairperson who reports to the GIEC Board of Directors. Workgroup membership and participation are available to each GIEC member company. Workgroups meet periodically and draw on member companies and outside experts to deliberate and comment on proposed rules and regulatory policies.
